The Big Spotacular & Just Giving
Children in need day raised £122! Well done to all!
This year, the school council team raised a huge amount of food for the food bank for harvest. We had a fantastic harvest festival hearing various poems, songs and raps. Children from the Fawbert and Barnard's Primary School came together to be grateful for how lucky we have been for the food, shelter and day to day life.
On Tuesday 27th April 2021 Fawbert and Barnard's Primary School raised £890.00 to support a grand total of £3701.00 to the Children's Trust!
Fawbert and Barnard's Primary School took part in a national fortnight of reducing their carbon footprint.
Fawbert and Barnard's Smash their Red Nose Day target!
Children dressed up on Friday 13th November 2020 with the aim to raise £250 for children in need.
By Wednesday 11th November, we already had £265 and increasing. The school council reviewed their target to £350.
All money has been collected in and we have raised a staggering £557.46! A huge amount of money for such a great course. Not only did we double our original target, but we also had a fantastic day dressed in various colours.
The school council would like to thank every family for their generous donations.
Here is our just giving page for children in need.
Additionally, we got a shout out in the Harlow news too.
The school council organised Parliament week between the 2nd and the 6th November 2020. During the week we looked at how Parliament supports us as individuals as well as in our community. At Fawbert and Barnard's Primary school, we focus on the British values and ensure that all children have a voice.
Christmas is coming up and with the pandemic, the school council wanted to put out a vote on what we would like to put in place over the Christmas period. Children voted in class what events they would like to do using ballot papers and a school decision of events has been chosen.
We will continue to develop the British values throughout the year.
Harvest celebration - Wednesday 14th October 2020
Today, the school council led a wonderful celebration, with a virtual assembly giving thanks for the annual harvest. Children donated gifts of food which will be delivered to people in our local area who are in need. We are thankful to parents who donated food items. The Harlow Foodbank came and collected the food that was donated by the school. Additionally, the Harlow Foodbank gave the school several food parcels for families in the Fawbert and Barnard's community who may need them. The school council collected this and thanked the Harlow Foodbank for their support with our community.
