Catch-Up Funding
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) children and young people across the country have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education. The Government has provided funds to support children and young people to catch up. At Fawbert & Barnard's following assessments of pupil's gaps in learning, in September, we have made plans to use this funding to support those pupils with the biggest gaps, getting our Year 5 and 6 pupils secondary ready and supporting younger pupils as well.
Schools’ allocations will be calculated on a per pupil basis, providing each mainstream school with a total of £80 for each pupil in years Reception through to 11.
Details of the proposed spending strategy are within the Catch-Up Funding Premium Strategy document. This is a working document and interventions may be moved if children make rapid progress and catch up quickly.
