Meet the Committee

We are delighted to say that a full committee was elected at the AGM held on 24th September 2021.

Chair: Sophie Hollyoake
"Hello, my name is Sophie. I have a son in Year 2. I work locally at Pearson (Education Publishers). I wanted to be on the committee to help put on some great events, give the children some fantastic school memories, and raise lots of money whilst doing it. With so many parents willing to make a difference and join the Friends Association this year, I believe that between us, we can really put on some good events and look forward to doing so."

Vice-Chair: Claire McGrath
"Hi F&B School Community. I'm Claire,  I'm a mum of two and I'm an Assistant Headteacher in a Secondary School. One of my children attends the school in Year 2. I'm delighted to be part of the Friends of F&B committee. My hope is that together we can provide memorable experiences for the children at F&B, whilst simultaneously raising much needed funds for the school.

Collectively I hope that we build on the great work that has been established by the previous committees and enhance the great school that F&B is for the local community."

Treasurer: Lianne Harris
"Hi, my name is Lianne. I have a son in year 1 and will have my two boys starting F&B next year. Having worked in the Financial and Legal industry for over 7 years, I thought I'd support the school best as the Treasurer within the committee. After the past few years I can't wait to help bring some amazing events to Old Harlow and help create some wonderful memories for the kids and their families too!"

Secretary: Danielle Harris
"Hello, I’m Danielle, mum to 2 children in F&B (Year 6 and Year 2) and secretary for the Friends Association. I work for a creative communications agency and have a background of project and event management. I wanted to take on the role of secretary again to ensure we have a committee to raise vital funds for the school and give the children fun events to enhance their school experience."

Digital & Marketing: Kerry Palmer
"Hello, my name is Kerry. I am a mummy to three girls, (Year 9 Leventhorpe, Year 4 and Year 2 in Fawbert & Barnard's). I work part-time for a plumbing and heating company. Being heavily involved with the Friends Association in the past it's fabulous that a new committee has now reformed. We can start planning and organising fabulous, fun events and raising essential funds for the school."

We have additional committee members as follows:
